Festival Job Fair In Vien Dong College, May 23, 2015

Vien Dong College, in collaboration with other agencies and organizations, hold a  Festival counseling and job placement in 2015

 

 

The job fair was organized to facilitate Vien Dong College students - as well as students of other universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City - an opportunity to access to employers for career orientation. This also helps them get good jobs after graduation. This simultaneously offers employers a good chance to recruit laborers who meet the needs of work, and helps society solve a part of the unemployment problem nowadays.

 

 

 

This program took place at 7:30 on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the main campus of the university: Lot 2, Quang Trung Software Park, District 12, HCMC

 

The Job Festival of Vien Dong College attracted more than 30 companies, including the contribution of the Centre of Job Promotion HEPZA (directly under Hồ Chí Minh City Export Processing Zone Authority) – which professionally provides human resources to 15 Industrial Parks and 3 Export Processing Zones with more than 650 active businesses; Centre of Job Promotion in Hi-Tech Park; Sai Gon Industry Corporatio; Saigon Transportation Mechanical Corporation (Samco); Liksin Industry – Printing – Packaging Corporation; Hochiminh City Computer Association; Quang Trung Software Park Management Board; … which receive more than 50% of social human resources.

 

 

 

 

 

Before having a direct interviews with businesses, the students had a chance to access to the management boards about the real need for manpower today, and most of them are surprised with the paradoxes: "Graduating students are now long-term unemployed, meanwhile the businesses are now looking for employments as difficultly as finding a needle in a haystack "

 

 

 

During the event, the university's study promotion fund also pleased to receive scholarships which is worth 300 million dong, coming from the following associations:

 

 1. High Tech Park Training Centre: 250 million.

 2. An Gia Phuc Education SERVICES & TRADING CO., LTD.

 3. Action English Community.

 4. Prudential Finance Company Limited

 

 

Last but not least, the college was honored to sign a long-term cooperation with 4 large enterprises in the field of human resources supply, employment support, practice places, … This is such a good news for students and it’s a right move for the present society because it partly solves a difficult problem: unemployment and labor demand.
