Vien Dong College applies AI in teaching Mathematics.
To keep pace with the trend of digital transformation in education, Vien Dong College has developed a special program titled “Applying AI in Teaching Mathematics.” Accordingly, the faculty team will develop ideas and solutions to integrate artificial intelligence into Mathematics instruction.
Notably, the AI-based applications and mathematical simulation software are designed with the goals of making mathematical knowledge more visual and intuitive; enhancing students’ thinking skills and interaction; and supporting lecturers in innovating teaching methods.
In addition, the college has invited experts in the field of AI to exchange ideas, share experiences, and spread the spirit of innovation, creativity, and technology application in teaching.

Mr. Tran Thanh Hai – Principal of Vien Dong College stated:
“One of the goals we are determined to pursue is the integration of AI to enhance training quality and meet the demands of the digital era.”
For students, applying AI to learning Mathematics or any other subject helps with information retrieval and provides suggestions on how to ask questions. In particular, when students do not understand an issue, AI can offer detailed explanations, acting like a personal assistant that helps them explore problems until they are satisfied.
Moreover, learners can submit their answers to AI for checking calculation methods and results, thereby drawing lessons through comparison. They can also ask AI to search for similar problems or expand on the topics being discussed, enabling a deeper understanding of the subject matter.
“If learners master the first three steps well, AI will become an extremely effective learning assistant (tutor), especially when steps 1–3 are carried out in English. Moreover, AI serves as an in-depth assessment tool that helps teachers evaluate learners’ level of understanding, identify the areas where students are still weak, and accordingly adjust lesson content and teaching approaches for greater effectiveness,” Mr. Tran Thanh Hai emphasized.
