Applying in a college is becoming a practical choice for young people, as it shortens the duration of study while expanding job opportunities and university articulation.
Amid the pressures of educational costs, the demand for high-quality workforce, and the rapid pace of technological change, Vien Dong College is offering a different path for students. Its industry-linked training model, flexible articulation pathways, and various financial support policies help students enter the job market sooner while continuing to advance their qualifications.
A New Launchpad for the Vocational Pathway
Being recognized for meeting high-quality standards in 2026 further affirms the standing of vocational education, indicating that college education is becoming a highly appealing direction for many students.
According to Dr. Phan Thi Le Thu, Standing Vice Rector of Vien Dong College, being the sole non-public institution among the 10 recognized units is a powerful proof to the college’s training quality and its sustainable development orientation. “Pursuing a college education is not a fallback option after university but a path that helps students enter the workforce early, in line with their abilities, and with ample opportunities for long-term development,” Dr. Thu emphasized.
One of the standout features of Vien Dong College is its model of bringing university-level programs directly to its campus. Students can complete their college diploma and then articulate directly to the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) or the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH). They even have the option to study both systems concurrently, allowing them to graduate with both practical vocational skills and a formal university degree.
The university notes that students do not only complete internships during their final semester but begin engaging with businesses as early as the second semester of their freshman year. Many students earn an income while still in school, which provides a significant advantage in terms of practical experience and reduces the financial burden on their families.
In addition, the school focuses on developing fields with high demand for skilled workers, such as information technology, applied AI, smart logistics, automotive technology, health and beauty care, and engineering technology.
Optimizing Costs, Staying Ahead of High-Demand Industries
As the cost of tuition and living expenses in major cities continues to rise, a college education is seen as a cost-effective solution for many families, particularly parents in rural areas.
The short training duration allows students to graduate early and secure employment sooner, enabling them to achieve financial independence if they wish to pursue further education. “Many of our graduates are able to cover the costs of their advanced studies on their own after entering the workforce, no longer relying on their families,” shared Dr. Phan Thi Le Thu.
In 2026, Vien Dong College will focus its investments on fields with high labor demand, such as information technology, applied AI, smart logistics, automotive technology, health and beauty care, as well as engineering disciplines targeting international markets like Germany, South Korea, the U.S., and Australia.
The school is also accelerating digital transformation in education, requiring faculty to incorporate AI into their teaching while prioritizing the development of digital skills among students. According to Dr. Thu, in the context of constantly evolving technology, the school must not only impart knowledge but also help students apply that knowledge, master digital tools, and adapt quickly to changes in the labor market.
College education: Quick Choice, Long-Term Success
Additionally, the school has implemented various financial support measures, such as a 50% tuition reduction in certain programs, loan assistance, and partnerships with banks to provide students with unsecured student loans. Particularly, students can sign a three-party employment commitment contract between the school, the employer, and the student right from the start of the program.
According to Dr. Thu, the admissions portal for Vien Dong College has been open since April, and the number of submitted applications has increased earlier than in previous years, with over 800 applications received. In a labor market that demands skilled workers with digital skills and high adaptability, pursuing a college degree is becoming a practical, cost-effective choice that opens up numerous development opportunities for young people.
