Festival in Malta

In Malta, people hold Gostra Festival. They hold it every year. Part of the festival is a competition. It is special.

For this competition, you need a piece of wood. This piece must be 10 metres long. Then, you put grease on the pole. People move the pole onto a boat. The pole starts on the boat. Then it goes up and ends in the air. There are flags at the end of the pole.

People run up the pole. They must take one flag. This is not easy. Many people fall into the water.

Ở Malta, người ta tổ chức lễ hội Gostra. Họ tổ chức lễ hội này hàng năm. Trong lễ hội có tổ chức một cuộc thi. Nó khá là đặc biệt.

Cần một khúc gỗ cho cuộc thi. Khúc gỗ này phải dài khoảng 10m. Sau đó bôi mỡ lên khúc gỗ. Mọi người đưa khúc gỗ lên thuyền.Đầu tiên khúc gỗ ở trên chiếc thuyền. Sau đó nó được nâng lên và cuối cùng được treo trên không.Có nhiều lá cờ ở cuối khúc gỗ.

Mọi người chạy trên khúc gỗ. Họ phải lấy được một lá cờ. Việc này không hề dễ dàng. Nhiều người đã ngã xuống nước.
