May 27, 2025 – Vien Dong College participated in the online seminar “Israeli AI-Driven Healthcare Innovations”, co-organized by the Embassy of Israel in Vietnam – Economic and Trade Office, Israel Ministry of Economy and Industry’s Trade Administration, and the Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (HCA). The event brought together leading businesses and experts in the fields of AI and smart healthcare.

The seminar highlighted breakthrough AI applications in healthcare, including:

• Medical Imaging Diagnosis: AI assists in precise medical image analysis, early detection of abnormalities, and optimization of diagnosis and treatment processes.
• Electronic Health Records (EHR) Processing: AI automates medical documentation and data synthesis, reducing workload for healthcare staff.
• Assistive and Remote Monitoring Robots: AI-powered solutions enhance home-based patient care, particularly in areas with limited access to specialists.

Additionally, the seminar addressed challenges in Vietnam’s healthcare system, such as hospital overcrowding, workforce shortages, and limited access to advanced technology. Israeli solutions presented opportunities for collaboration to improve domestic healthcare quality. The proposed telemedicine technology suite includes three key components:

• Clinicians’ Dashboard: A platform enabling remote communication and medical imaging analysis (e.g., ultrasound, X-ray), allowing doctors to diagnose and consult without in-person visits.
• Patient’s Self-Scan Device: A handheld device synced with patients’ smartphones, enabling simple self-administered ultrasounds—ideal for underserved areas or immobile patients.
• Patient’s Mobile App: Supports synchronous/asynchronous communication (chat, video calls) with doctors, guides patients in using self-scan devices, and transmits results to physicians.

By attending the event, Vien Dong College reaffirmed our commitment to training an AI-skilled healthcare workforce, contributing to the modernization of Vietnam’s medical sector.
