On the morning of September 5th, amidst the joyful atmosphere of the National Back-to-School Day, the campus of Viễn Đông College was vibrant with flags, flowers, and filled with laughter. Over 2,000 students, faculty, and distinguished guests gathered at the beloved school to attend the Opening Ceremony for the 2025 – 2026 academic year – an event marking a new journey full of aspiration.

At Viễn Đông College, the moment the national flag was raised and the national anthem began, the entire hall fell silent, filled with pride and emotion. This was not only a solemn opening ritual but also an awakening of the sense of responsibility among today’s youth towards the cause of learning and nation-building.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Master Trần Thanh Hải, Principal of Viễn Đông College, emphasized key strategic directions: building the model of a “smart and happy school”, enhancing international cooperation, strengthening partnerships with enterprises and top-tier universities so that Viễn Đông students have both opportunities for stable employment and conditions for advanced learning. Furthermore, the new academic year is also powerfully bolstered by government support policies: tuition fee exemptions and reductions, and preferential credit for students in key majors – a practical foundation for learners to feel secure in their pursuit of knowledge.

An emotional highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of HCA scholarships to outstanding freshmen. These scholarships, covering 100% of the tuition for the entire Information Technology program and 50% for the General Medicine program, were not just deserved rewards but also encouragement for them to confidently step into their new journey. The joy and happiness of the new scholarship recipients left a beautiful impression on this opening day.

Beyond the joy of learning, the Opening Ceremony also spread a spirit of sharing. The faculty and students of Viễn Đông College joined hands to donate in support of compatriots in the central region affected by Typhoon No. 5, Kajiki. This meaningful activity once again affirmed the humanistic values and community responsibility that the school always aims for in educating the young generation.
