VIỄN ĐÔNG COLLEGE CONDUCTS CURRICULUM ACCEPTANCE FOR VF3 ELECTRIC CAR IN COLLABORATION WITH THE AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT

Hồ Chí Minh City, July 23, 2025 – To effectively implement a training program closely associated with electric vehicle technology, Viễn Đông College collaborated with the Automotive Engineering Technology Department to organize an acceptance review session for the VF3 electric car curriculum. This marks an important step in enhancing teaching quality and equipping students with practical skills.

During the session, representatives from the Automotive Engineering Technology Department presented in detail the curriculum using VF3 – a vehicle recently invested in by the school to serve modern training objectives and keep pace with green technology trends in the automotive industry. The curriculum focuses on key aspects such as vehicle structure, operational principles, electrical-electronic systems, and maintenance procedures for safe electric vehicle operation.

Following the presentation, the Review Board provided constructive feedback to further refine the content and teaching methods. Key recommendations included:

  • Adjusting teaching duration: The board suggested reducing the curriculum to 45 periods in order to ensure a more focused and practical approach.
  • Converting materials to slide presentations: Paper-based materials should be transitioned to PowerPoint format for better visual aids and presentation flexibility. Additionally, the department may use both Vietnamese and English materials in teaching to improve students’ specialized language skills.
  • Providing safety gear for students: The school has agreed to invest in specialized gloves to ensure safety during hands-on training with electric vehicles, especially when working with high-voltage systems.
  • Installing charging timers for the vehicle: The board required the department to install timers for the VF3 to prevent overcharging, which could lead to fire hazards or equipment damage.
  • Equipping the vehicle with GPS tracking: To monitor usage, particularly for teaching purposes or off-campus activities, the board proposed installing GPS tracking devices on the vehicle.

The acceptance session was not only an opportunity to evaluate the curriculum’s quality but also demonstrated the school’s commitment to modernizing training programs, investing in advanced equipment, and ensuring safety and efficiency in teaching. The integration of the VF3 electric car into the curriculum clearly reflects the college’s development strategy toward green technology and clean energy trends.
