On October 17, the signing ceremony for a strategic cooperation agreement between the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) and the New York Institute of Finance (NYIF) took place in New York, USA.
According to the agreement, UEH and NYIF will jointly implement an international-standard practical training program in finance and investment, along with scholarships and exchange opportunities. The partnership aims to develop a high-quality pool of financial experts, advisors, and executives to directly serve the Ho Chi Minh City International Financial Center.
This marks a strategic first step in the city’s ongoing journey to integrate academia, policy, and global practice.
The New York Institute of Finance (NYIF), with over 100 years of experience, maintains strong connections with Wall Street and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), setting standards in professional certification and practical training based on insights from global markets. Meanwhile, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) contributes a solid academic foundation, deep understanding of the local context, and a forward-looking vision for innovation.
Building on this partnership with NYIF, UEH will continue to expand collaborations with leading U.S. universities and training institutes—including Ivy League schools and Wall Street-based professional centers—to establish a series of advanced training programs for international finance and investment professionals.
These initiatives not only affirm UEH’s pioneering role in connecting global academic and financial policy networks but also contribute to realizing Ho Chi Minh City’s vision of becoming a leading financial and innovation hub in Asia, laying a solid foundation for Vietnam’s sustainable development in the era of global integration.
