More Opportunities for Lecturers and Students from the President’s Business Trip to Germany

At the invitation of Theodor-Heuss-Schule (Offenbach, Frankfurt, Hesse), from late September to early October 2025, Dr. Tran Thanh Hai – President of Vien Dong College – paid an official visit and working trip to Germany.

This visit marks an important milestone in Vien Dong College’s strategy for international cooperation and academic quality enhancement, paving the way for greater opportunities for both lecturers and students in global education and training collaboration.

President of Vien Dong College Works with Theodor-Heuss-Schule in Germany

During the working trip, the delegation met with the Consul General of Vietnam in Frankfurt and the leadership of Theodor-Heuss-Schule. The two sides reached an agreement on several practical areas of cooperation:

– In November 2025: Vietnam will send German language lecturers to Theodor-Heuss-Schule for a six-month training program. This initiative aims to enhance the linguistic proficiency and teaching methodologies of Vien Dong College’s faculty, thereby improving the quality of German language education and better preparing students for future study and career opportunities in Germany.

– In January 2026: Seventeen dental students from Theodor-Heuss-Schule will travel to Vien Dong College to participate in an exchange and professional field training program in Vietnam, creating a two-way international learning environment that fosters cross-cultural and academic collaboration.

In addition, Dr. Tran Thanh Hai, President of Vien Dong College, met with Ms. Nancy Nhung Trinh, Founder of DITEB GmbH (Berlin). Both sides agreed on a collaborative direction focusing on training, internship programs, and support for Vien Dong College students to study, work, and potentially settle in Germany.

On this occasion, the delegation also attended the 45th Anniversary Celebration of Vietnam’s labor and training cooperation program in Germany. During the event, they met with the Vietnamese business community in Germany, including former interpreters and team leaders who once supported Vietnamese workers in the country. These individuals now represent valuable partners and potential collaborators who can accompany and support Vien Dong College students during their studies and careers in Germany.

The Rector of Vien Dong College, together with Mr. Luong Hoa Binh – a member of the Organizing Committee, attended the ceremony celebrating the 45th anniversary of Vietnam sending workers to study and work in the Federal Republic of Germany.

On his way back, Dr. Tran Thanh Hai, President of Vien Dong College, made a stop in Paris to meet with Mr. Nguyen Van Bon, Vice President of the Vietnamese Association in France, aiming to further expand the college’s international cooperation network in Europe

The business trip concluded successfully, reaffirming Vien Dong College’s growing position on the map of international educational cooperation. It also opened up broader opportunities for students and lecturers of the college to study, intern, work, and potentially settle in Germany in the near future.
