The 10th anniversary celebration of Vien Dong College

The college has solemnly celebrated its 10th anniversary of establishment and development on November 26th, 2016. The past 10 years has recorded the entire College’s history with efforts and achievements of its board, lecturers, office staff and students.

Apart from the unforgettable impression, the 10th anniversary celebration was also marked with students’ indescribable joy celebrating their ceremony to welcome new academic year 2016-1017 and senior’s graduation day.

During the celebration, the College was honored to welcome featured guests such as, Mr. Nguyen Van Lam- The vice chairman of Ho Chi Minh Labor, War invalids and Social Affairs Department, principals, rectors, headmasters, lecturers, and teachers from many high schools, college and universities in Vietnam; the guest from JINNO Cooperation and Wakoukai  Cooperation (Japan), Silliman University (the Philippines) and Singapore.

 

In the ceremony, it was also pleased to welcome the indispensable and important guests who have played crucial role in the College’s development. They are the College’s founders, lecturers, staff office, more than 2000 students and their parents.

On behalf of the College, along with all staff and faculty, staff, Mr. Tran Thanh Hai, M.A – the Rector of the College, has profoundly thanked the attendance of all mentioned guests who have always encouraged, helped and been interested in the school during the last 10 years.


During his speech, he also emphasized that difficulties and obstacles were unavoidable; however, the College’s staff, lecturers and students have overcome and gained significant achievements. These achievements have made great spiritual values that remind the next generation of their contribution to the College. In this celebration, the rector and the whole College would like to express their gratitude to the first founders who have taken the first steps building the College.

In the ceremony, Mr. Izumino, the president of JINNO Cooperation gave his speech as a key note that marked the partnership between JINNO Cooperation and Vien Dong College. He also emphasized that JINNO Cooperation would do their best to support students from Vien Dong College when they come to Japan.


In the celebration, the College Board presented gifts for the lecturers who have had significant contribution on the College’s development. 



Apart from its prior purposes in upgrading facilities and equipments, completing course books list, the College also focuses on establishing international partnership with foreign institutions such as Valdosta State University (America), Nakanihon College (Japan) and Silliman University (the Philippines).  


While celebrating the 10th anniversary of the College, staff, lecturers and students were also excited to welcome the new academic year, 2016-2017.  

To motivate students to try harder in their studying, the College spent amount of more than 300 million VND as scholarships for those who got good and excellent marks, for those who are from poor families but they are studious

For the past 10 years, the College has put a lot of effort on its innovation and establishing mutual relationship with many institutions, community and business organizations. Therefore, it has gained belief from students and their parents. Having those achievements, the College has innovated its training system, replaced many theoretical subjects by practical ones that helped students become confident to get job after graduating. Therefore, many business organizations are interested in cooperating with the College to offer its graduates job opportunities. They also sponsored for students from poor families with many scholarships as a way to motivate them to study. In the celebration, the College received more than 150 million VND from these companies and organizations.

More than 500 graduates were excited when receiving their graduating degrees and best wishes from the College Board, lecturers and other junior students.

The celebration ended with the opening ceremony of Spring Volunteer Campaign, which inspired students of their voluntary activities in the new coming year, 2017.

The College staff, lecturers and students are determined to preserve the current achievements and aim to achieve better results to make the College become one of the institutions providing high standard training service locally and internationally.
